About Jennie
Hey, I’m Jennie, a coaching psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist from Cork, Ireland. I’ve been coaching women privately for more than ten years.
I work with high-achieving women in their late thirties to mid-fifties whose brains and bodies stopped cooperating with the strategies that used to work. Most of them have ADHD/AuDHD, formally diagnosed or strongly self-identifying. Most are in some stage of perimenopause, whether they know it yet or not. All of them used to be the kind of woman who could do anything. The ones who others referred to as “a force to be reckoned with” or “an inspiration”.
For forty years, ADHD was a clinical construct built on hyperactive boys. The girls and women who learned to mask, over-prepare, and over-deliver slipped through. They got rewarded for the compensations until midlife, when the hormones shifted and the compensations stopped delivering. Now those girls are women in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s and trying to figure out and unlearn a lifetime of masking.
How I got here
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 34. Mid-career, mid-COO of a tech startup, mid-pre-school-run with a toddler. Honestly, the diagnosis surprised me more than it probably should have. I’d already spent a decade reading these patterns in the women I was coaching: the perfectionist exhaustion, the masking fatigue, the brain that worked beautifully under deadline pressure and refused to start the boring tasks the rest of life is made of. Now I was reading the same patterns in myself. To this day I still don’t really know how I didn’t spot it in myself sooner. I guess my self-identity didn’t align with what I thought having ADHD must be like. The real surprise came 3 years later when I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD (AuDHD). Now that’s something I would never have believed if you told me 10 years ago!
What followed was a rollercoaster of emotions, questions, confusion, relief, answers and explanations followed by more confusion, regret, frustration and a lot of thinking about what could have been if only I had known sooner.
I’d watched the wellness industry over-promise transformation for years. I’ve bought every personal development book there is. The work that actually shifted things for me was specific: the chemistry-not-character reframe, the infrastructure that respects an ADHD-peri brain instead of fighting it, and clinical hypnotherapy for the somatic and nervous-system layer that talk therapy alone couldn’t reach.
I exited the startup in October 2025. The coaching practice that had run alongside it for ten years became my full focus again. The book and the cohort that exist now are the structured versions of work I’d been doing one-to-one with women for years before deciding it was time to put it out i asnto the world properly.
What I offer
There are three main layers to what I do.
The book. Pause and Unmask: Your ADHD Brain in Perimenopause. A guide for high-achieving women whose strategies stopped working. It comes with a twenty-minute clinical hypnotherapy track for sleep onset. It’s the entry point, the work I’d want to hand any woman in her forties who suspects her brain has changed and doesn’t know what to do about it.
The cohort. SHARP. Strategic High Achiever Reset Protocol. A twelve-week founding cohort for women who want to do the deeper work with structure, with a small group, and with clinical hypnotherapy sessions with me. Six women per cohort, twelve weeks, the first one beginning in September 2026.
Private 1:1 Coaching: Individual coaching and mentorship for high-achieving ADHD/AuDHD women who want to stay at their peak performance. My calendar is currently full for 1:1 coaching but you can join the waitlist here.
If you’ve ever felt smart but inconsistent, capable but overwhelmed, or quietly exhausted from holding it all together, I see you. You’re in the right place.
